Roses Blooming

I suppose it's not a big thing.
They would be beautiful without me.
And really, I don't know what I'm doing.
But I feel proud!
Starting around the first of January I started pruning my roses.
I cut back about one or two rose bushes per day while my kids played in the yard.

After I chop them to bits,
it always takes a little faith
(and imagination)
to believe that my roses will ever bloom again.
 But they always do.

A little love, a little patience, a little faith.

:)

  1. goregeous (especially with that new camera to snap them ;)) I so agree with you- I love love roses. We had them planted all over the place at our old house, but I have not a one in the ground here in Vermont. I should get on top of that as they aren't always the fastest growers! I too used to cringe when pruning them back and I'd keep my fingers crossed for blooms :).

Thanks for sharing your garbage disposal story with me- it helps to know I wasn't the only one with strange things fished out of the drain!
