Prayers...

In April, 2010, when Andrew was 2 1/2, a tumor was discovered behind his eye. The tumor was removed, but it was found to be an aggressive cancer. He endured seven months of chemo and six weeks radiation. In December of 2010, the day after his last treatment, he was rushed to the ER with an almost fatal bacterial infection. He survived.

He is now seven-years-old!! I don't visit here much, because during the ordeal, this is where I dumped everything--my rage, my fear, my sadness, my ugly, my hope, my everything. But I want all of you who supported and prayed for us to hear his updates. You helped me survive, and I am deeply thankful. Every once in awhile, I will check in to let you know how he's doing. Please continue to pray that cancer will never return to his body. Thank you.

Spring in Arizona

This is the time of year when I LOVE Arizona.  It is absolutely beautiful outside.   Today  (first day of spring break) the kids stripped down to their underwear, got out the water hose and called it a "beach day".  Which meant lying on their tummies, pretending to swim, in a 1/8 inch of water on the driveway cement.... okay, so they have a good imagination.

I know those of you still shoveling snow may be jealous, but if it makes you feel any better, in a few months, our skin will burn as soon as we step outdoors, and walking from my car to the mall will melt all of the plastic in my purse.  So I am soaking it in NOW.

Yesterday we took a hike.  With all three kids. It was an adventure.  And Dora came along:

So it was a musical adventure. (Dora sings....nonstop).

The boys had a blast climbing rocks,

throwing rocks, and even resting on rocks.

It is too bad the top looks like this :(:

But it also looks like this:

And on the way down we saw this:

I LOVE Arizona this time of year :).

  1. Wow! Love this. Makes me miss those walks in the hills behind my house in Loma Linda! It is beautiful in the desert. I'll be thinking of you while you're melting and still envying you.

By the way: love that photo of you. You look great!
