In April, 2010, when Andrew was 2 1/2, a tumor was discovered behind his eye. The tumor was removed, but it was found to be an aggressive cancer. He endured seven months of chemo and six weeks radiation. In December of 2010, the day after his last treatment, he was rushed to the ER with an almost fatal bacterial infection. He survived.

He is now seven-years-old!! I don't visit here much, because during the ordeal, this is where I dumped everything--my rage, my fear, my sadness, my ugly, my hope, my everything. But I want all of you who supported and prayed for us to hear his updates. You helped me survive, and I am deeply thankful. Every once in awhile, I will check in to let you know how he's doing. Please continue to pray that cancer will never return to his body. Thank you.

You Capture: A Moment

A Moment...of sun

A Moment...of promise

A Moment...of color

A Moment...of indulgence

A Moment...of awe

A Moment...of regret

A Moment...of solitude

A Moment...of sweetness

We do not remember days, we remember moments.

(Okay, so I wasn't in France and Colorado this week.  Just thought I'd share a few of my favorite moments).

For more You Capture Moments, visit:

  1. These are so good! I love how you've described each of these, but my three favorites have to be the Parisian skyline, your boys in the bubbliest (is that even a word?) tub ever and your son stuck in the Tinkertoys box. That one is so funny!

  2. LOVE THEM ALL! My fave is solitude. That's just gorgeous. OH and of course I laughed and cringed at the bath tub bubble explosion!

  3. Daddy was in charge of bathtime that night :)

  4. I love the bubble bath! It made me giggle.
And the Paris skyline with the gargoyle in the foreground... amazing.

  5. I love this, Jules! Really! Each moment is precious... some made me giggle, some made me sigh... I'm in awe of your skills!

  6. These are all great pictures, but I LOVE the bubble bath!

  7. as i was scrolling through i kept thinking "oo, that's my wait, that one is...hold on I love that one!..." i can't decide. i love them all. :)

  8. I have always wanted to take a bubble bath like that- decadent indeed! Thanks for swinging by my blog :) I see you have your hands full with not just one, but a handful of boys! Loved that adorable shot of Andrew on your recent walk :) too cute with the dog!

  9. They're all great, but the "Moment...of indulgence" is my favorite! I would love to play in that many bubbles as a kid. Looks like so much fun!

  10. So true!! We remember all the small moments. We remember the moments that seem the most inconsequential at the time.
