Prayers...

In April, 2010, when Andrew was 2 1/2, a tumor was discovered behind his eye. The tumor was removed, but it was found to be an aggressive cancer. He endured seven months of chemo and six weeks radiation. In December of 2010, the day after his last treatment, he was rushed to the ER with an almost fatal bacterial infection. He survived.

He is now seven-years-old!! I don't visit here much, because during the ordeal, this is where I dumped everything--my rage, my fear, my sadness, my ugly, my hope, my everything. But I want all of you who supported and prayed for us to hear his updates. You helped me survive, and I am deeply thankful. Every once in awhile, I will check in to let you know how he's doing. Please continue to pray that cancer will never return to his body. Thank you.

You Capture: A Moment

A Moment...of sun

A Moment...of promise

A Moment...of color

A Moment...of indulgence

A Moment...of awe

A Moment...of regret

A Moment...of solitude

A Moment...of sweetness

We do not remember days, we remember moments.

(Okay, so I wasn't in France and Colorado this week.  Just thought I'd share a few of my favorite moments).

  1. These are so good! I love how you've described each of these, but my three favorites have to be the Parisian skyline, your boys in the bubbliest (is that even a word?) tub ever and your son stuck in the Tinkertoys box. That one is so funny!

  2. LOVE THEM ALL! My fave is solitude. That's just gorgeous. OH and of course I laughed and cringed at the bath tub bubble explosion!

  9. They're all great, but the "Moment...of indulgence" is my favorite! I would love to play in that many bubbles as a kid. Looks like so much fun!

  10. So true!! We remember all the small moments. We remember the moments that seem the most inconsequential at the time.
