In April, 2010, when Andrew was 2 1/2, a tumor was discovered behind his eye. The tumor was removed, but it was found to be an aggressive cancer. He endured seven months of chemo and six weeks radiation. In December of 2010, the day after his last treatment, he was rushed to the ER with an almost fatal bacterial infection. He survived.
He is now seven-years-old!! I don't visit here much, because during the ordeal, this is where I dumped everything--my rage, my fear, my sadness, my ugly, my hope, my everything. But I want all of you who supported and prayed for us to hear his updates. You helped me survive, and I am deeply thankful. Every once in awhile, I will check in to let you know how he's doing. Please continue to pray that cancer will never return to his body. Thank you.

You Capture: Yellow
A day at the "train park" at the pleading of my two-year-old.
Beautiful! I don't know why I didn't figure out that you had a blog when you commented on my blog. . . being blonde? Anyway, Erika sent the link along to me. I have enjoyed reading it this morning. Thinking of you :)
praying daily - and btw, what kind of camera do you have? I'm hoping that maybe my photography would improve if I got a better camera??? Your shots are brilliant and gorgeous!
That last one belongs on a wall or a desk. It is a keeper, well ALL of them are, but the LAST one is my fav. You do such a great job with your photos :D Hugs to you!!
Praying that you continue, as you have, to reach deep within for the strength to hold onto faith's hope, finding joy in all these precious photo moments you've captured, finding courage from the support of friends and family and knowing this is what it means to be held by God even when the sacred is under siege.
Great shots, as always. I love the last one!
